Mark your calendars for two great events at the American Mountaineering Center in
Golden, Colorado, happening next week.
On November 16, come catch a special preview of The Last Wild Mountain: Portrait of the American Climber. The film "follows the parallel stories of the first two generations of "rock climbers" in America, and how they navigated this new world. Through interviews with nearly 50 climbers from the Vulgarians to the Stonemasters, Royal Robbins to Lynn Hill, as well as photographs, writings, and retro footage, [it] weaves together the story."
Two days later, on Thursday, November 18, the American Mountaineering Museum will host a special opening of our latest exhibit, Alpine Styles. Alpine Styles includes work by artists Emilie Lee, Jamie Givens, Keith Svihovec, Mike Tea, and Renan Ozturk. The exhibition showcases art that is about climbing, mountaineering and the mountain world. Works include illustrations that have appeared in climbing magazines and publications, and personal work being shown for the first time in public. Read more about Alpine Styles here.
