It's not often that we get an opportunity to go to an area and do a first ascent, especially of a peak. There just aren't a heck of a lot of areas - outside of Antarctica - that have acessible, unclimbed peaks. But, today, Seth Waterfall and I were able to break away for a handful of hours and climb a new peak. Small, but beautiful, it was a fun climb followed by a 5-6 miles ski back to camp for dinner.I've been calling it the LiRye Face, after my kids - small, but fun! A good day!
